Welcome to Lea’s Salsa Blog!
This site was started with the help of my good friend Josh L. and because the publicist in me is always working and networking, even on the dance floor. I love taking pictures, getting phone numbers, and keeping my fellow salseros informed about what’s going on with the New Orleans salsa scene. I, along with several other amazing individuals, who have a passion for Latin dancing, have made it our mission to re-establish the salsa scene as it was pre-Katrina.
New Orleans is lucky to have several talented instructors and promoters who want nothing more than to share their talents with up and coming salseros in an effort to grow our Latin dance scene. They are dedicating their lives and personal time to teach workshops, classes, private lessons, and organize events and socials throughout the metropolitan area. This blog is designed in gratitude to those very special people and to keep you informed daily regarding the amazing steps that they are taking to ensure that the New Orleans Latin scene is respected and recognized throughout the nation.
In addition to my salsa blog, I also have an enormous text message database that I text daily regarding Latin events going on around town. My text messages provide immediate notification to your cell phone for those that are on the go and may not have time to access a computer.
