Metairie, LA

$40 for the five week session or $10 per class

Dancers of Cuban-style salsa will learn how to dance side to side instead of on a straight line like the style of salsa most commonly performed.
In addition, Aurelio and Linda are also the masters of Rueda de Casino, which will be incorporated into their lesson. The Rueda is when multiple couples form a circle and exchange partners while dance moves are called out by one person who’s designated as the “caller” or “líder or cantante” in Spanish. Many moves have hand signals to identify the calls. The hand signals are used in noisy venues where spoken calls might not be easily heard. Some of the most common moves in the Rueda are Dame, Enchufle, Vacila, and Sombrero. Join Aurelio and Linda as they introduce or assist you in mastering this unique and fun style of dance. All of Aurelio and Linda’s classes are progressive and include five weeks of instruction.
